DAY 1: INTRODUCTION

Parents and children together immersed into the world within themselves. The mind and its limitless power. A beaker containing water was the embodiment of our mind. Muddy water is a mind full of disturbing thoughts the more you agitate the water the murkier the water! Blue ink in the water is a mind which is negative, completely opaque, with the ability to even suck into a beautiful white flower and stain it. The children did a fun activity of assembling a bamboo stand on which the whole family could put away their phones

DAY 2: PAPER CRAFT AND GADGET CONTROL

The power of the human mind to transform was the highlight of the day where a simple thing like paper was our tool. Origami, kirigami, paper cutting were all explored together with experiments and explorations. The session included an interactive session on how and why we need to be the masters of our gadgets instead of totally being run by them. Received very well by the children too.

DAY 3: VISIT TO NDTV STUDIOS

A deep look into something which is a pure creation of the human mind. Media. An introductory talk on what media really is by Communications firm “Wordswork” director Neha Rastogi. Highlight of the day was a visit to the NDTV studio. Children saw all the live action in a bustling energetic environment including a live news telecast, the newsroom and the puppeteer who made their visit memorable. They were given an insight into how news is collected and reported and the enormous effort that goes behind all of this.

DAY 4: MINDFULNESS AND MUSIC

A day of things that rejuvenate the brain and nourish it. A look into the art of meditation and yoga and an ability to look in, children had a surprising uptake which was a reminder of their ability to grasp the abstract. Music coming from the most simplistic inspirations of nature was a medium to discuss the ability of the human brain to create. Activity which highlighted the day was making a rain shaker with a bamboo like one of the earliest instruments made by man.

DAY 5: SCIENCE AND US

The curious mind discovers many layers in the world that exists around us. Science is the medium which underlines this aspect of the human brain which drives the will to explore. Interesting simple science experiments were displayed with working props. How science filters into food was the next discovery of the day. No fire cooking was displayed and Bhelpuri was deconstructed with a live display of every single ingredient that goes into making the dish. Highlight of the day was when science came together with food and a live demonstration of making instant ice cream with Nitrogen cooling was seen.
