AURUM AND PLUM @CENTRUM
Key gathering spaces at Centrum were created as spatially open areas where movement was unhindered and the experience of passing through them was seamless. The All Day dining area Plum on the top floor and the Lounge space on the pool side on the ground floor are conceived and designed drawing from all the elements of the the core concept of Centrum.
The use of fenestration to bring in ample natural light make these spaces sunbathed at all times of the year with the experience of the spaces changing as the sunlight does. Colour hues and materials inspired from nature make the spaces alive with references from the local architecture and traditional space making tools like framed views and screened views.
Plum has a feature roof designed using the authentic construction technique of brick arches but with a modern flavour interspersing metal beams in between. The architecture of Lucknow which is fully in brick was a source of inspiration to expand the limits of this humble earth material.
The flooring is again a very well used material in traditional buildings, terrazo yet in a modern interpretation using the graphic from the brand logo.
Aurum is an open space that flows seamlessly in keeping with the idea of it being a free space for people to gather view art exhibitions, share views, have book readings, sit and quietly read. A lounge space with a waterbody as feature that surrounds in near the large swimming pool.
The water feature has been brought inside the space once again underlining the intent to seamlessly connect with the outdoors.
The red feature wall extending in to our adds a dynamic spatial quality due to its acutely angular nature. Crafted wall sculpture installations further punctuate this strong feature within and without the the space
