PENDULUM@CENTRUM
Pendulum the bar at Centrum Lucknow is a design inspired by the name of the facility. Manifestations of Time and the the art of enjoying a drink are the design language, as an idea that is sometimes literal and other times abstract. With a colour pallette away from the main interior architecture of Centrum it was a deliberate attempt to create an island within the whole.
Pendulum however takes forward certain nuances from the overall theme in ways of using Text as Art as well as hints of the flooring patterns and material from the other areas as well.
The seating design affords a lot of variations as an attempt at being people friendly and accomodating various ways in which people find comfort to relax and enjoy a space.
The use of seamless casted materials like concrete are a highlight in form of the bar tables and other fixed features.
The straight lines of Centrum are allowed to flow and the entire graphic which is used in space making is with curved lines as flow gives a feeling of relaxation and ease.
Pendulum is an amalgamation of graphic and abstract inspirations which translate into the space making.
