Working on a brief away from the usual always leads to an exciting design direction. Chinese is one of the most popular cuisines world over. To see a new avatar, a glimpse into authentic street side chinese food with an element of a barbeque gave an exciting twist to the project.
The very basis of the design was, creating an ambience of the outdoor urban scape inside and creating the feeling of sitting on the street and eating. There is the provision of a live barbeque facility as well which actually embodies the feeling of eating on the streets to complete the experience.
All kinds of street elements formed the main language of the interior design of this space. All streetscape elements were carefully articulated as in a live situation and the intent is to use those very elements to construct the interior space. The concept flows from the artwork, to the lighting, furniture, materials, and colours. A completely experience based interior architecture.
